I de-virginized the new cross bike this past Saturday at the Draper CX race. The bike performed flawlessly, except for a minor brake mishap with three laps to go (my front brake got stuck in the engaged position for the last three laps which proved to be a pretty darn good workout!). I received multiple compliments on the frame from fellow riders. I should point out that none of those nice words came from anyone who owned a carpet fiber frame. Snobs! They just don't know what they are missing out on with steel!
I'm excited to try it out at Buenaventura this weekend. That course seems to suit me better. Draper is too hilly for a big guy like myself!

I can't tell if this is a pic from 1909 or 2009. You look old school with the wool jersey, single speed steel frame, and the hat underneath the helmet. You should only ride in leather gloves, and have a tube over your shoulder to complete the authentic look!
I got a close look at that bike at the race. Sabrosa did it right. A very cool bike. It looks even better with a little mud on it.
Rob, unlike Busta, i'm a leader of the old school. Rick, thanks for the nice words about the bike. Good job on Saturday!
