Orchards

One of the fun things about where we live is that while it's convenient to get to the cities, and all of the big attractions, we are super close to the country. In fact, really close. Close enough that you look out our back window and see cornfields. Close enough that Mike takes about three turns from the driveway and he is on endless country farm roads with NO cars for miles.

It makes it easy to go to places like apple orchards for apple picking. The one we went to had an off year - uniquely hit by some big storms knocked out their apple trees for the season, but there are a good amount of orchards that I look forward to checking out in the future.

So, we didn't pick apples, but had some fun at the homemade playground and hay ride.

I thought this pic of Alexis was funny. Mike turned it and took it so quickly, and she was looking right at the camera as if she were posed!
