Seeing the Leaves

Taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather, we took a day trip and drove North. It was a nice adventure as we stopped in some small towns, checked out the fall leaves at a few different lakes, and came across a couple of state parks.

Max was super cute with helping Alexis up these stairs. He's a great brother!

The William O'Brien park was beautiful with all of the leaves. It had some great trails for hiking (picture going in and around very wooded/hilly areas) that we'd like to go back to. It's supposed to be a great spot for cross country skiing in the winter.

A new type of park for us was at Taylors Falls, called the Interstate State Park. Full of trails and steps between the highway and the St. Croix river that take you in and through the glacial deposits and old potholes, it was a fun place to discover, and a place we'd like to go back to and spend more time!
