Favorite Shirt

Seems like every kid has a favorite shirt.

Max has loved this one his grandma picked up for him. You can tell from this photo I took over a year ago, and that she bought it big enough that he's been able to enjoy it for a couple of years. The sharks mouth actually flaps open to reveal an octopus inside its mouth. It was a novelty in his preschool class this year. His teacher said the other kids would circle around to lift the flap whenever he wore it. As you can see, I've always had to adapt it for winter and summer months. He's actually getting to a point where he'll be out of it before too long. Don't know how I'll break that one to him. I have visions of him trying to go to kindergarten every week wearing a now fitted muscle tee. He likes it so much, I've actually had thoughts of cutting out the shark part and sewing it onto a bigger shirt. But, it's too cute as is.

Alexis has recently found her favorite shirt. Grandma actually picked up a cute set of summer jammies, and this was the top. When I told her what it said, we quickly realized this was going to be part of daytime clothes instead. Almost daily, she requests her "yellow daddy shirt."

On this particular morning, she made a beautiful ensemble. When I told her how much her daddy would love it, she started to cry just thinking about him. Definitely takes the meaning of the shirt to heart.
