Trip to Utah - more adventures!

The last day of our trip we headed to Temple Square. I'd recently taken them to the St. Paul temple with the young women and it was so neat to see how much they enjoyed being on the grounds, and getting close to a beautiful building. After that, we really wanted to let the kids experience some of the sights and see what a bigger temple is like, and to just enjoy the beautiful flowers and museums. We had a great time at a lot of the museum exhibits - they were nice tie-ins with scripture time at home, and a good way for visualizing it all. There was so much to do and see - and so much that we didn't get to! Although we drove, we packed super light (including no stroller), and the kids did a lot of walking. I was surprised at how well they did - we were there midday for about three hours and were such troopers. Plus grandpa and Mike were troopers carrying Alexis whenever she asked!

I know. Why were we in this random room? It's actually where Mike and I had our wedding reception. Fun to go back 9 years later (almost to the day!) and let the kids check it out. Of course they really had no clue, but for Mike and I it was one of those moments where you kind of pause, reflect, and think about how much 9 years brings!
