Our little peanut is 4! She (or I) have a record for being sick just before her birthday. She kept the tradition going with some tonsillitis. Thanks to the magic of antibiotics she was back to her happy self in no time!
We gave her a Curious George puzzle. She loves that little monkey and I love that she'll sit and do puzzles.
She had her first friend party this year, a princess training camp. Kept it low key and simple. Some crafts, dress ups, some freeze dancing, an obstacle course and cupcakes. Earned a crown for all of that hard work. I love how little games are so fun for this age group.
Can't say enough about Alexis. She's beautiful inside and out. Quiet as a mouse in so many settings, but giggly and goofy whenever she's warmed up and comfortable. Enjoys doing jobs all around the house. Loves to "organize" and "decorate." Often times I will find pictures moved to different areas in the house, or little additions from her room that are now part of the end table decor. And, she loves to give gifts. Little pictures inside envelopes, treasures hidden in bags, it's so fun. She loves books and tells the best stories when flipping through those pictures. Loves everything pink, skirts, dresses, jewelry and polish. I love the little chunks of time we get to spend solo - almost always doing art or some type of game, and I can't resist giving her little squeezes. I feel like her squeaky little voice would be the perfect part in some kids movie, and it's so fun to hear her sing. She's terribly video-shy and I need to be better about getting it recorded. And, while being a parent = oodles of work, her sweet grin reminds me that more than anything being a parent = gratitude. For that awesome chance to hang out with someone so cool.
