Thanksgiving day was pretty low key and quiet for two reasons.
1 - we live away from extended family
2 - Mike had an encounter with the turf in a flag football game a few days prior, and lost.
I cooked up the feast, and we enjoyed the low key time (aka dad spends lots of time icing his torn quad and strained ligaments on the couch as much as possible with three wiggly kiddos trying to get his full attention!).
He used the down time to jump right into drawing. And, while the whole leg thing wasn't ideal, we were so grateful it wasn't anything like the big blowout 10 years ago! So grateful for all the big things and all the little stuff in-between!
Later that weekend we bundled up to check out some Christmas festivities.
And then took a trip that weekend to a nearby air and space museum.
