And we're in full swing. I'd love to write more about these awesome links below, but today time just won't allow it. In short, a couple summers ago, I had a vision in my head of what I wanted summer to feel like for me and the kids. And I tried to create it. A couple weeks into it, I was burnt out trying to come up with everything and new ideas all on my own.
I needed to simplify. And do what is so handy in this day and age - to look online to see if someone else had the same vision, and explained what worked for them.
While I'd love to take credit for thinking up something cool, I have nothing to own. All I can offer is it made last summer super fun, and the two weeks that we are into this one are going well too. They feel like they have direction. I feel like I have direction. It's so nice.
Since this has been the topic of conversation with a few moms and myself around here, I thought I'd share them on one spot. If you're interested, or have more questions, feel free to comment or email me and I'll give you more info. Maybe someday I'll post about it too. But for now, at least you have the links.
Summer Learning Adventure Camp Kit
This will be our third summer with this link below, and it's been fun!

And, I'd love to hear what you do. Anything you love?!?

Did you pay for the kit? How old was Max when you started this? I have been looking for something like this for Callin, he is now 4 years old.
Yes, I did. It works well for us. I did simple versions with Max when he was younger (and now for Alexis). Mine have done well with earning "boxes" (or check marks) and then trading them in for either an experience or a thing. There are lots of different ways to do that type of system, and it's worked well for us!
