More Halloween

Trunk or treat at our church:

 Just before we went to Max's school for the Halloween parade:

 Loved the leaves as she rode her bike over to the school!

 Max enjoyed the parade.  I had no luck getting an actual pick of the front side of his body, but here's an action shot when he was playing football with his buddy (who'd dressed as a football player):

 Just before trick or treating.  Max felt a little hesitant about his costume (he'd made it up) until we put the make up on.  He loved looking like a zombie.

 Alexis had planned to be a skeleton (wearing some glow in the dark jammies she already had).  But, a week before Halloween, she realized that was not what she wanted to be.  Brainstorming for ideas, she seemed stuck.  I had to run to the store, where we fell upon this number that had been returned and was missing the head.  She was in love with the idea of being a monster (surprising for how feminine she seems to be).  I made the little headband for her to give her some monster horns, and she was super excited.  Which, more than anything else, is what makes dressing up fun.

Trick or treating in the neighborhood.  Max and Alexis had it figured out. 

 Loved this photo Mike took.  Reminds me how big Tayler is getting, and how small she is at the same time.  She was so cute.  Holding on to one piece and trading it for another at each house.  Finally decided to hold candy in each hand, then decided putting them in the bucket wasn't a bad idea after all.

 She came back early with me to pass out to trick or treaters.  Loved answering the door!!

 The loot.  Funny story:  As Max and Alexis dumped out their buckets, we noticed that Alexis had more candy than Max.  At one home, Mike and I were meeting some neighbors, and had stopped for about a 10 minute conversation.  Our little chocolate lover did not hesitate to snag some extras from their bucket while we were talking!!

 Put Tayler to bed, and snuggled with the kiddos watching the Nightmare Before Halloween.  Great family tradition!

 Loved Halloween this year.  Fun traditions we did (that didn't get pictures):  dinner laid out like a spider on our plates, booing! houses (so fun to see Max sneak around and run), an afternoon of sugar cookie making with Alexis (her own Halloween party while Max had his at school), and cute drawings of bats and spooky things hanging around our house.

Now to find a good tradition for what to do with all that candy....I'm thinking a donation somewhere is in the works!
