Disney World Part 3 - Magic Kingdom

Our second day started bright and early as we headed to Magic Kingdom. We were prepared for crowds, and set a goal to simply be flexible and enjoy the day together. And while it probably was a "higher crowd" day, we had a ton of fun together! We embraced the lines and played games, and focused on the areas we definitely wanted to hit.

The kiddos really wanted to ride Space Mountain, and we made that the first stop while Mike and Abigail enjoyed some other classic rides together (like the people mover!). It was the longest wait of any ride we rode the day, but they had SO MUCH fun. We rode all kinds of rides - but the favorites for the crew were: Splash Mountain (my favorite ride of the day!), Thunder Mountain, Under the Sea, It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean. The Belle cottage was fun too - all the kiddos (and me) were in the little "play" and it was fun to see Alexis beam when she was chosen as the "beast" because of her awesome roar. It was cute.

We packed peanut butter sandwiches, and had dinner at (another) Mexican spot! The temps were awesome, and we spent the whole day and rolled into the evening there. Just as the fireworks show was about to begin, the crowds were building and it was tough to find a spot that didn't feel like we were packed in next to other folks. So, we made the call to start heading home, which got us to the parking lot just in time to see the fireworks! While it didn't have the picturesque castle in the background, it was awesome to have the space!

In the line before the Ariel ride. We love that one!

 Hanging out at Belle's cottage!
Having parts in the mini-play was actually really fun!

 Peanut butter sandwiches...

The only pic we managed to capture of the castle! It was a bit crazy with the "castle photo" when we came in and when we circled back to do it, they'd closed off the area for something, and then it was getting dark and crowded for the fireworks show. But watching them from the parking lot was a success!
