It feels good to be home

I'm back.

Because as much as I've tried to keep a family record in a variety of other platforms, this is the method that speaks to me. I love to journal and I love to write and blogging just feels natural. This blog began with the purpose of recording our family history - and that continues to be the purpose. It's the space we reference most as a family - both online and in the printed books we have for each year. It's full of ideas, traditions, memories, real-life moments in parenting, and loads of light.

And funny enough, it feels like home.

Maybe that's because our physical "homes" have changed so much over the years. In a nine-year time period, our family has moved through five states (UT, MN, NE, back to UT, and now in FL). This "space" has flowed with us and has been an awesome way to stay in touch with friends and family across the country. This "space" has been a record for learning and growth. It's been on a bit of a pause this last while, but I look forward to catching up as well as sharing what's happening in our every day life.

Because to us, "home" isn't about the walls we live in, but the doors we choose to walk through.

Learning and growing.

Centering on what matters most.

Embracing the small and simple.

Living with intention.

It feels good to be back. I look forward to creating space here for more memories, real-life moments, ideas, traditions, and all things as they evolve over time. I look forward to continually cultivating  writing what speaks to me. And funny enough, somewhere in all of this writing, I feel accountable. To myself - to keep striving for learning and growth and to be mindful of moments to remember.

It feels good to be home.
