Tayler's Bday

Tayler turned the big 8! She had a blast celebrating with friends from school and church. We were so impressed with her awareness of girls, and while we set limits with the size of the group (if given the choice, she would invite everyone she knows!), she was really thoughtful and made sure to invite a couple of girls who were brand new to school and neighborhood (one had just moved in the week prior). Her desire to really help everyone find friendship is such a beautiful thing to observe! She planned her party - complete with painting, popcorn and freeze dancing. They also made tote bags to take with them to the library (she loves to read!). Such great girls!

We loved celebrating her together at home, and she was so excited to start the "big kid" tradition of a candy bar poster (before 8 they get balloons dropped on them to wake them up and a crepe paper "car wash" on their doorway). I was able to meet her for a bday lunch together, and meet some of her friends at school. She is a true example of being a friend to everyone, and it makes our hearts happy to see her embrace this natural gift!
