Showdown in the WVC

Saturday, the CX series brought us to the lovely confines of the Rocky Mountain Raceway for the third race of the year. The course was awesome. Fast pavement, technical dirt sections, a stair run up as well as an off camber grassy side hill and run up combo. I loved it! I was a little geared out on the flat pavement sections though. Oh well! Sara, Max, and my mom came to cheer us on. It was nice to hear them screaming words of encouragement as I rode by! Thanks!

Timpanogos Cyclery was represented well. Everyone rode hard and had a good time. Props to Scott, KP, Kerry, Pat, Ethan and Garrett for giving it everything that had! Even Kerry's son rode so hard he pucked at the finish line. At least he won some free swag at the drawing to make it all worth it! Good job!

I've decided that racing cross is probably the most fun I have ever had on two wheels. Finally my long goofy legs aren't a detriment to me anymore. If it didn't hurt so bad, you'd see a huge grin on my face the whole race! Most of all, racing cross this season has given me the opportunity to ride along side my best friends. And that's what it's all about!

Next week: Return to Buenaventura!
