The day had arrived. While the "I just rolled out of bed" hairstyle works as a hip and cool do' in some social circles and fashion magazines, the only look Max had been pulling off lately is, "I just rolled out of bed." The effort of trying to keep cute curls on a toddler was no longer possible. And, I feared "what a cute girl!" was going to start giving the boy a complex. So, I took him to get his first haircut - minus the few snips Mike or I had done at home (which definitely added to the uneven fro).

I must say, I was really proud of the champ. No tears. He'd even catch his reflection in the mirror as she was cutting and flash a smile of "I'm
lookin' hot!" He must have learned that from his dad.
NOTE: Yes, both photos include some of our wonderful kitchen utensils/containers, a.k.a. max's toys. Still wondering why we purchase actual toys....

Crazy that with just a little haircut, your baby can all of sudden turn into a boy. He is so old! We should get a lunch together with Teri soon.
So cute! I'm scared to take Luke in for a haircut. He might terrorize the shop!
So cute! Isn't it crazy how much older it makes them look? Good work and you will have to teach me the trick of tear free haircuts!
