Christmas

We officially spent our first Christmas in Minnesota, and successfully broke the record for the snowiest December on record. We'll take some more pics to post - although I don't think the snow will be going anywhere anytime soon!

I'm sure the neighbors think we're a bit odd if they saw Mike walking around outside, with no coat, while holding a laptop, showing the grandparents the snow via skype. Technology is amazing.

Max and Mike went sledding Christmas Eve day (while little girl had her nap and I cooked my first turkey dinner), and then we caught up with everyone on skype that evening, and managed to recreate the Joseph/Mary nativity thanks to some bathrobes, a baby and crib.

Christmas was a wonderful time to reflect on Christ, our many blessings, and the love and support from our families. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful day, and hope yours was merry as well!

Listening to Mike read them the nativity story.
Testing out the cookies before leaving some out for Santa.

The face Max is making with the cookies...I've seen Mike do that about a million times.

I know! I'm so glad someone sees the resemblance!
