And, the baby is...

A GIRL!!!

Mike and I went to the ultrasound in the morning (everything looks great!), and then made a pink pancake dinner that night for the kids. Had Max guess who picked the color of pancakes for the night - after going through everyone in the family (including Kermit), we had a long pause, then the light went on, and he said "it's the new baby! it's a girl!"

Maxman is genuinely excited to have another sister. Or as he says "it's because I'm such a good brother to Alexis already. Plus, I won't have to share my legos as much, mom."

Alexis is excited too. Mostly because she sees Max is excited. But, she has a soft spot for the babe - comes up regularly to give the baby a hug, and tell her hello.

Had a blast telling the youth at church that night (I work with the girls ages 12-18 at church. In addition to church, we meet up on a weeknight for an activity together). They'd been waiting to hear and all had their guesses in. We let them cut open a cake (dyed pink) to find out the surprise. Super fun.

We're thrilled!
