Part one was in Park City. Lots of pictures. Fun, fun memories. New traditions, old traditions. Such a great time!
Stomp rockets were new this year (since it wasn't windy enough for kites). My dad and brother had a ginormous one that was fun to watch.Mike biked off the mountain just in time to meet us for lunch one day.
I asked Max to pick three things he definitely wanted to do in Park City. Going on the Ghost Tour was number one. He couldn't wait to do it again. I came along too this year (my first time), and we had such a great time watching him memorize all the stories. What a hoot.
Number one for Alexis was the coaster and slide (that made Max's list too!)
Of course, they both had swimming on their list!
These two were listening to Papa in the shade. After taking the picture, I thought it'd be a good idea to get grandma and Tayler in there too.

Clearly, Tayler wasn't too thrilled with that idea.
And, new this year, we were able to spend time with lots of extended family. First time this whole group has been together (ever - with spouses and kids!).
Vacation summary Part 1: One trip to instacare (I'd managed to get Tayler to the doctor before we left, as she had an ear & sinus infection, but Max managed to catch it as we were there), 1 big bloody nose, and little people meltdowns. Bike rides and morning workouts. Way too little sleep, hot sun, and lots of fun. Seeing new places. Seeing old places. Showing the kids old places to us that are new places to them. Eating great food. Barbecuing in the rain. Crafts with the little girls. Shopping at the outlets. Spending time with both family and friends. And the swimming lesson Mike gave me at the pool in Park City one afternoon as the kiddos were happily playing with cousins and aunts/uncles (what? time to ourselves?!). Until next year...
