School and a gel pen

We were able to celebrate an academic accomplishment Alexis made this quarter in school! She has worked hard and is a true example of perseverance!

Abigail and I clapped and cheered. And I have no pictures of this - but as I gave Abby some gel pens and paper to color during the presentation, I looked over moments later and there she was - a gel pen in pieces and a bright orange mouth from trying to eat it! Bright orange was everywhere! Man, she is busy!

She also befriended a grandma who was sitting next to us. While they didn't speak the same language, they had an immediate connection. Her open and honest heart breaks down "barriers" in so many ways. She keeps me on my toes, but gosh, I love it!
