This blog began in 2007 as a way to record our family history. Since then, we've tried other social media platforms to stay connected and document meaningful moments, but we keep coming back to this place that feels a bit like "home."
While our physical homes have changed through the years (in a nine-year time period our family has moved through five states - UT, MN, NE, back to UT, FL and now GA), this "space" flows with us.
For us, "home" isn't about the walls we live in, but the doors we choose to walk through. The memories we create as a family. The growing and learning as we walk the path of life. Home to us is about striving to center on what matters most, choosing to embrace the small and simple, and living with intention. Trusting God through the unknown, and choosing to connect through love. And, while the path we walk is full of twists, turns, bumps and all kinds of missteps, we choose to continue forward with faith, and with a deeper sense of gratitude for both the path behind us, the path we are on, and the path we have yet to walk.
If you're reading this blog, give yourself permission to walk your path. Write your story. However it speaks to you. Maybe something on here will spark an idea, or a moment for you to create in every day life. Grow that light! Let's be mindful of all our stories. While they were never meant to be the same, they are absolutely meant to strengthen our connections.
Welcome to our "home."
-Sara
